Looking Forward and Giving Back 365 Second Annual Giving Back 365 Voting Social

The Watertown Area Community Foundation recently hosted its annual Giving Back 365 Voting Social at a festively decorated Redlin Art Center, bringing together members and Foundation board members—past and present. This special evening celebrated the power of collective giving and the incredible difference it makes in our community.

With 161 members strong, Giving Back 365 made history this year with the largest granting budget to date, $41,406, bringing the program’s total impact to more than $219,000 since its inception in 2012. Attendees enjoyed holiday hors d’oeuvres from The Wheel Inn, fellowship, and the chance to cast their votes for 17 grant proposals submitted by local nonprofits.

One highlight of the evening was watching videos created by the applicants, giving members a firsthand look at the inspiring work being done to make Watertown a better place. Votes from the event will be combined with email ballots from members unable to attend the social to determine this year’s Giving Back 365 grant recipients.

This celebration was a true testament to the Giving Back 365 mission: a dollar a day to make our community better. Thank you to everyone who makes this program—and its lasting impact—possible. Together, we’re changing lives and creating a brighter future for Watertown.
