Local Roots: Watertown Fire Rescue PAD Program
January 27, 2025
Watertown Fire Rescue’s Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) Program is the featured local nonprofit for January.
Watertown Fire Rescue’s Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) Program offsets costs to local businesses and organizations to purchase an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). The program also delivers complimentary training on the use of an AED.
When cardiac arrest occurs, every second counts. Without defibrillation within five minutes, most victims won’t survive. That’s why having AEDs readily available throughout our community is essential. Learn more about the program and how you can acquire an AED for your organization by listening here!
Local Roots – Growing Awareness & Connecting Community was created by the Watertown Area Community Foundation and KXLG Radio. This program highlights a local nonprofit group each month with the mission to raise awareness and connect our community to the work of these critical organizations.
